Risk of gestational diabetes?
I’ve just seen my midwife for my 25 week appt and my urine tested positive for glucose. There was no glucose in my urine at my 9 or 16 week appts.
She said if there’s still glucose in my urine at my 28 week appt then I’ll get sent for a glucose tolerance test, to test for gestational diabetes.
I have been craving sugary snacks recently and know I’m eating way too much of it. I’m not overweight and haven’t put on a lot of excess weight since becoming pregnant, and I eat healthy meals otherwise.
Will cutting sugar out reduce the chances of glucose in my urine next time?
