So obviously bathing cats is pretty difficult unless you start bathing them as a kitten and they grow up used to being bathed. We got our cat as an adult and he went outside and got dirty. My so is walking around the house “where is that.. dry shampoo stuff you have” I respond

“In my purse. Why?” Him:

“I’m gonna use it on the cat”

Me: “um. No. Don’t do that.”

Him: “I just wanna use it on the cat I’m not gonna use all of it!” I thought he was trying to do this because the cat was stinky.

And I said “babe! No. Don’t spray that baby with my dry shampoo?” And he was just going on and on about how I was being selfish and It finally clicked that he didn’t get the fact that it wasn’t actually a way to wash your hair.

Me: “i don’t think you understand.”

Him: no I understand.

Me: no. it’s not a shower in a can. It coats your hair and soaks up oils on your scalp and makes your hair smell good. It’s not going to WASH him. It’s going to coat him in stuff that’s not for cats and it’s more than likely toxic to cats”

“Oh” was all he said 🙄

I’m sitting here thinking about the fact that he was gonna spray dry shampoo all over our poor freaking cat and thought I was just being stingy. I just grabbed a wash cloth and water and gave him and rub with it and he did just fine.
