Honestly not to sound patronising but a needle being dragged across under your skin does hurt. Not massively but it’s uncomfortable. It’s perfectly tolerable if you have a couple of hours what hurts me most is if you are in for 5+ hours and it’s the going over parts and the soreness that really starts to hurt! x

It hurts but they’re tolerable in most places and the pain only last for that moment  The tats on my legs were relaxing for me

It all depends on your pain tolerance, for me tattoos haven’t been painful and I have two. It also depends on what part of your body you get it on

It’s only hurts when their doing the out line. Once they start doing color and filling it in it doesn’t hurt anymore

Obviously they hurt. It depends on your pain tolerance, location of the tattoo, and the type of tattoo. I have 12 tattoos and some of them hurt more than others but they were all tolerable. I also know what to expect now so that makes it easier.
I can tell you right now the tattoo in that picture will hurt like hell. The bonier the area, the more painful it's going to be.

It does hurt, more at the joints than the long stretches, I think, but for me the worst part is the healing itch. The worst part of my hip was where I get nerve pain from sciatica. Other than that, if you can accept pain in exchange for beauty, it's not bad.
