First night of Gonal F pen, any advice?

Should I take It out of the fridge and let It sit at room temperature before injecting? Or do I just do It right out of the fridge? I’m not nervous about the needle I’m just scared of doing It wrong haha

When I took the injections class the nurse said to let the pen sit out at room temp before injecting. After being out of the fridge it stays good for 28 days. Don’t be nervous that one is not as scary as it seems. You got this!

I usually took mine out 5-10 minutes before injecting so it wasn’t ridiculously cold, per my nurse’s suggestion.

Hmm my Gonal F was not in the fridge nor was I instructed to keep it in the fridge. Did your doctor tell you to?

Letting it sit out for about 10-15 mins will reduce the potential for stinging and discomfort when injecting the medication. Other than that it doesn't matter. I had follistim, so not sure how different they are beside manufacturer, but I found it to be the easiest one with the least amount of pain. The needles we so incredibly tiny and the medicine doesn't sting like menopur!

Ugh I didn’t push the top part hard enough so It didn’t go in the first time. It was still at 150. I had to redo it. I hope I didn’t mess everything up 🤦🏼‍♀️

Either way is fine- I wouldn’t stress one way or another! If you are going to be out and have to do your injection outside the house, bring it with, otherwise straight from the fridge is fine- this is spoken from someone who once had to inject while stuck in gridlock traffic 😂 and I had 36 eggs retrieved!
