Do you wake up your baby to eat or let them wake up on their own?

Depends how old and their weight gain. Though I never had to wake up my baby. He was basically a an alarm clock set every 3 hours 😅
Your baby’s doctor can usually give you an idea if it’s something you should do in your specific situation. But to be safe, I would wake them up after 4-5 hours if they’re under 3 months old and not waking on their own.

FTM as well but I was warned that babies initially will not wake up frequently enough to nurse so at the beginning they need to be woken up every 3 hours or so. After awhile, they will wake up when they are hungry.

I've never woken our daughter to eat. Even as a newborn in the hospital.

They go to daycare now and eat their breakfast there so I wake them up. No choice! 😀

I woke her up until she regained her birth weight, then she would wake me up when she wanted to eat! She loved her sleep though so waking her up was hard hahah

Both depending in how soon she eats before falling asleep but usually i let her sleep and feed her when she wakes up on her own

During the day I've been waking our newborn up to eat. At night she nornammy wakes me up but I dont let her go more than 4 or 5 hours max.
