My water broke!

37w6d FTM.. woke up from a nap around 11:45 this morning and some liquid started trickling down my leg when I stood up. Wasn’t sure if it was my water or pee or discharge lol so I went to the bathroom, put on a pad, and laid down for 30 minutes just like Google told me to 😅

Got up 30 min later and the pad seemed a little wet but definitely not soaked. Changed to a panty liner to see if that would get soaked. It was a little wet but I wasn’t sure if it was just discharge. So I called in to see if I should head to l&d, they said yes.

Got in around 1:30pm and was sure they’d send me home. Nope! Tested positive for amniotic fluid. So they admitted me and told me if I didn’t start contracting on my own they’d start me on pitocin. The goal is to deliver within 24 hours of water breaking. I was kind of skeptical bc I was barely leaking any fluid, but around 4:30pm is when I felt the big gush. I’ve been losing a lot of fluid since then. Feels like I’m constantly and uncontrollably peeing all over myself. It’s 8:20pm now and they’re going to start pitocin soon since I’m only 2.5cm dilated, 50% effaced, and not getting any contractions really. Definitely feeling nervous!! It’s about to get real..
