Where to professionally install the car seat base?

I want to make sure the car base is installed properly in the next few weeks and was wondering if buy buy baby does it or? Did you do it yourself?

I was told to go by a fire station and they will make sure it is installed correctly!!

You should definitely read the manual and learn to install yourself. Fire & police stations don’t always have certified cpst to assist you. Join car seats for Littles on Facebook and they can help you troubleshoot or look up cpst near you!

Our car insurance company has carseat techs that install carseata at clinics. However- our car insurance company used the anchors to attach my carseat base to the car even though it was considered "borrowing" the anchors and unsafe. So even if you get a "professional" to do it - be sure you go over your manual and double check.

You can install it yourself (especially good to get used to the set up/instructions). Then go to a local fire or police station that does car seat checks- look it up online or call your local non emergency number.
We did this with both our car seats-  the police officer who checked said about half the time SOMETHING (usually small) is installed incorrectly.  They will help you fix it.

You need to do it yourself and become familiar with it so that if you ever need to move it you can make sure you know how to do it properly. 
If you read the manual it has a check list for you to do to make sure it is right. Most car seats have a level with them so you know it is at the right angle and then once the car seat is secured in the car it shouldn’t move side to side more than about an inch. 
Also make sure to adjust the shoulder height of the harnesses and the distance of the between the legs harness appropriately to make sure baby doesn’t get jarred too much if in an accident. Again the manual tells you how to check to make sure everything fits correctly
If you still feel unsure call your law enforcement NON-EMERGENCY number and where in your area you can go to have it checked that you installed your car seat correctly. I know in my area it is the fire station.

We have a partnership for children organization in my area. Its a volunteer parents as teachers program where a "worker" comes out every 2 weeks, gets to know the family, gives us information on games and services if we need/want them, makes sure the child is developing and hitting milestones and makes recommendations if they notice the child lagging, they have play groups once a week.
They have some workers that are car seat safety certified. Their program also helps get proper carseats into the community. 
Before our newest gets here, my worker who is certified, is going to go over both types of seats with us and make sure both seats are installed properly.

Fire stations will help. But, read the manual and try it yourself. It’s actually pretty easy. I figured out how to do ours and then I showed my husband hahahaha!!

I’m going to have a police officer friend do it. He had to go to a training to be certified to put them in/teach people how to do it
