At Home Fetal Doppler?

Question

I’ve been so anxious between appointments I’m thinking of ordering a Doppler so we can hear baby’s heartbeat whenever we want. Has anyone bought one? Thoughts? My doc said we could come in any time we want to have them do it but that seems like a hassle..
Currently 17 weeks and don’t have our anatomy scan for another 3 weeks! Thank you in advance for your thoughts!

Whatever others say: saved my life!!!!
This anxiety after 2 miss carriages would have killed me. Every day after work I listen to my baby’s heart for 5 seconds and am relieved. Many advise again it due to the ultra sound waves but I assume that those of the doctors machines are way worse.

I got one because I was very anxious between appointments as well and it definitely calms my nerves. I got a used one off offer up. Just know that it can be difficult to find the heart beat, sometimes it has taken me about 10 minutes to find it and other times I find it right away depending on where baby is. And it is very faint and not super loud so when using it try not to stress if you can’t find it.

I'm glad I got one - but I got it by 10 weeks, and it makes less sense the further along you are. I am just over 20 weeks and feel him every day (for a few weeks now), so the doppler wouldn't really tell me much more. I haven't used mine in weeks.

We have the sonoline b and glad we have it. Although after my anatomy scan i have found we don’t use it as much. 
I have also read it’s not good to use it often...maybe once a week. 
Either way it reassures us whenever we want! ❤️

It was really good for me. Between monthly appointments i got a reassurance. If you feel like there is nothing wrong with the baby and just want to put ur mind at ease, go ahead. Ive only used twice but was very worth it!

Ordered one around 16 weeks after not feeling anything, and I'm so happy I did. I was against them for myself personally, because I thought I wouldn't be able to control myself and I'd use it every day multiple times a day. But I've literally used it twice in almost 2 weeks. It's such a relief during this awkward time when we possibly don't feel the baby yet, I recommend getting one. But I agree with the comment that said to make sure you still go in to your dr if you feel something is off.

I have one, they say they aren’t good to use early on because it can be hard to find the heartbeat but at this point you should be able to find it easily. I’ve found my sons every day since 10 weeks and after a miscarriage last June it has definitely helped!

I ordered a Sonoline B when I was 12 weeks. It's very reassuring to hear the heartbeat in between appointments.
