I exclusively breastfeed my son and use nipple shields due to lactation difficulties and I just noticed these on my nipples , does anyone know what they are , I will be going to the doctor in the morning but do you think I should stop breastfeeding my son from this breast till then ?

I have something very similar on one of my breast’s, but not near the nipple. It’s on the side where my bra rubs. I think it’s just really dry/ irritated skin? It’s super itchy. I’ve been putting coconut oil on it. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Looks like irritation from the shield. I wouldn't stop nursing. Make sure you don't leave the shield on too long, clean and dry after each use. Boiling to clean the shields?

Looks like a bacterial infection. Personally i would hold off feeding until uve seen the doctor hun x

I wouldn’t stop breastfeeding for that at all! You can use nipple cream on those spots to see if they help, and make sure the shield is sanitized

I would see the dr but it probably has to do with skin rubbing against the shield with no lubrication. Try putting coconut oil on before the shield. I do this and it helps friction. I would boil all the shields too.
