What to expect?

So I am going for my first appointment tomorrow with my ob/gyn after taking multiple (positive) tests. Just trying to figure out what I should expect while I'm there besides bloodwork.

They will prob confirm the pregnancy with their own test, then move on from there. I always had a confirmation ultrasound the same day at the office, but some will schedule one for you. After the confirmation ultrasound I would sit with the doctor and go over what to expect going forward (the rest of the prenatal care) and what to expect at the next appointment!

So they did a pelvic exam, a sono and bloodwork to check hormone levels.

They won’t do a pelvic exam.  The risk of anything near your cervix isn’t worth it until like 36 weeks of pregnancy.  They’ll give you some bloodwork, provide some information about prenatal care, and probably give you a requisition for your first ultrasound which is a dating scan to confirm the fetal pole and due date.
