Vanilla Extract for teething?

My daughter is teething really bad her 2 bottom teeth have come in but her top two are coming in at the same time, I used cold wash cloths for her bottom teeth, but it’s not helping her with the top teeth my co worker was saying she used vanilla extract on her 3 kids but idk I’m hesitant 😟 but desperate to help her. It’s the first time I hear of this so I’m not sure does anyone have opinions or experiences with this?

Vanilla extract is alcohol sooo it sounds to me like an old school “get the baby drunk and hey they don’t care anymore” kinda remedy

We use Punkin Butt teething oil and it has been amazing for my girl!! I swear she’s been teething for months, but I’ve yet had to give her any Tylenol for it. We just use the oil.

My MIL suggested I do this for my son. I opted out of this option, something didn't settle right with me thinking about giving him it like that.
Instead, I would give him cold pieces of cucumber to chew on and a bit of teething oil around his gums where they were coming in. 
I really hope your babe starts feeling better soon! Having my son made me realize that teeth literally suck. And unless you take really good care of them your whole life, they continue sucking haha.

If your daughter is 6 months old, you can also give her baby ibuprofen/Motrin. Maybe it'll work better than Tylenol? My girl is teething too and they seem to bother her the most in the evening so we've been alternating between Tylenol and ibuprofen before bed.

Do you know how awful tasting vanilla extract is by itself?? Try it! It’s like having the Pillsbury dough boys dirty ass in your mouth 🤮 I wouldn’t, I would just give my child Tylenol. Teething is painful, it’s like when your wisdom teeth come through, your gums hurt,you teeth ache, it’s painful just uncomfortable. A normal person would take something, ANYTHING, when they are in that kind of pain, so why make your child suffer?
