My boyfriend and I have only been together for about two or three weeks. During the time we talked, his ex found out he was talking to someone and kept trying to get him back and that she “misses him”. Recently, she texted him saying that she wanted to be friends with him and he agreed to it. I guess jealousy kind of took over my body and I told him not to. My boyfriend talks about his ex once in a while, like about how their relationship was. I recently confronted him, saying that he talks about his ex a lot and that he should turn it down a notch. I honestly feel so bad that I said that to him, but whenever he talks about his ex, I get really insecure and doubtful, although, he said that his relationship with his ex was very toxic. I’ve only confronted him once so far and he also reassures me, saying that he would never leave me, but I still feel insecure and scared. I want to be able to trust him.

Am I just overthinking things???
