My little one is having a hard time with formula. She is almost 6 weeks old and we’ve had to change her formula 4 times already! Nothing seems to be agreeing with her. First she was on Similac for Supplementation bc at the time I was trying to breastfeed, but due to a poor milk supply I had to stop bc she wasn’t getting enough to eat. We then switched her to Similac Pro Sensitivity, but that caused her to have a lot of gas and diarrhea. We then went to Honest Company sensitive formula, but that cause severe constipation, gas and her face to break out like crazy. She’s now on Similac Pro Total comfort and although her stools seem to be regulating, she’s just really fussy since she’s been on this. She’s not sleeping well and just is restless almost like her tummy is bothering her. I’m at a loss as to what to do anymore. I just want her to feel better and to be able to sleep so that I can sleep. I don’t know how many more sleepless nights I can take! Oh and I think she has reflux, I will be talking to her pediatrician about that at her next appointment. So I’m wondering how long it takes for her body to adjust to a new formula, I was always told a week and that’s what we’ve been giving all these formulas that much time, but does it take longer?
