I have to go back to school in May and my son will be 5 months old. I wanted to put him in infant daycare. I found some places like bright horizons and another place that actually has live cameras where parents can view everything from your computer or phone which made me very comfortable. I also met 2 parents in the parking lot after my tour and both of them said they love the daycare and the workers are very loving.

The only issue is I’m getting so much pushback now from my husband now. He was on board at first and now is saying no. He says if anything happens to our son in daycare he’s going to divorce me. So now I am overwhelmed with guilt bc god forbid something does happen, I will feel like it’s 100% my fault. I don’t have an income right now bc I was in school so hes holding that over my head also saying he won’t pay for it etc.

What are your thoughts on sending an infant to daycare at 5 months old? I mean these places start at only 6 weeks so it can’t be that bad? Am I totally missing something and being selfish for wanting to send a 5 month old to day care?
