No period negative test?

Question

I’m not trying to get pregnant but I have been having unprotected sex, I am late on my period and I’m never late I’ve been having cramps bad for around 3 days and my nipples are so tender I took a pregnancy test to be sure but it came back negative (Clearblue digital) why could this be?

Try a pink dye test, when I tested with clearblue I got a negative and 3 days later tested with first response and got a bright positive. So maybe try first response :)
