Can't decide on a diaper pail?

Question

Idk why but I cannot decide on a diaper pail! I would really like to buy a used one because they are so cheap and I hate how much we already have that will end up in a landfill someday :( But it seems gross somehow? A used pail. Then I'm thinking get a cheap one and I swing back to just f the cost and getting an ubbi or something. Help me decide please before I drive myself crazy!

We have a Dékor pail and really like it. You can use regular trash bags or buy their refills for it. And then when your out of the diaper stage, it can convert into a regular trash can. The Ubbi was more than we were willing to spend but preferred to use a diaper pail over a regular trash can.

I had an ubbi and a diaper genie elite. Ubbi seems like a good idea because you can use regular bags in it, but the smell was not nice - it smelled like it was always open. The only time I get a whiff of anything off my diaper genie is when I open it or change the bag.
I don’t have a problem with used diaper genies. It’s either metal or hard plastic so pretty easy to sanitize. And you don’t really have the dirty diapers touching the pail itself 🤷‍♀️

I just registered for the arm & hammer munchkin pail after doing a ton of research. More than anything, I need it not to smell, because it’ll be in our bedroom. I really wanted the Ubbi (more eco-friendly) but with so many reviews saying it still smells, I couldn’t do it. 
Get a fresh one. The pails don’t work forever, you’ll get more use out of it if it’s new.

I use this. It’s like $12 at Walmart and it fits plastic grocery bags so you don’t have to buy separate ones. It doesn’t smell either.

I love our Ubbi. It’s expensive but I got ours on sale +20% off at Buybuybaby so it ended up being $50. Then I bought trash bags in bulk. Baby is 2 months old and we have no issues. I do wipe down the inside when we change the bag just to keep it clean. I didn’t want to do the diaper genie because we have a petgenie and I think changing the bag is a pain in the ass 😂

The ubbi is great. You can use your own bags. It hold a lot too. Looks nice and keeps out the smell. Wait till they are one sale. I have the diaper genie too and it sucks

We have an arm and hammer Paul, and use target brand bags. You could totally buy one of these used and bleach it! 
We use it mostly because we have two dogs who would definitely pull dirty diapers out of the regular trash

As long as you’re breastfeeding, diapers don’t smell that bad. You can use a regular bin w/ a lid(we bought one at a local home improvement store- Home Depot[USA] or Bunnings[AUS]). 
When we introduced solids, we got a diaper bin- it’s so much easier on the nose & is simple to empty out. I’ve seen used ones on Facebook Marketplace. And you can buy off-brand bags for them too in bulk.
