Starting Birth Control

So I'm starting birth control Sunday. That's when the first pill day is marked. It's Sprintec and I've never taken it before so I'm really scared. My last Pap smear was 2017 right after I turned 18. I'm 19 about to be 20 May 1st. I just want it to work because there is no other option. Im getting married to my wonderful fiancé March 2nd so It has to work for our honeymoon because we can't afford a child right now and I just want him to be happy. I really don't wanna take hormones but he's not comfortable with condoms for our first time and I'm still a virgin so I kinda don't want to have to use them either. I need help and advice. Most of my friends aren't much help and think it's my responsibility if we did get pregnant and we wanna wait the first year so I guess it would be but cancer also runs in my family so Im worried about that too. I need closure and this, I was told, is the least expensive(I don't have health insurance), non invasive(our wedding is in two weeks, and didn't require a physical primary gynecologist approval for prescription(I don't have one) Again I start taking it Sunday since I'm on my third day of my period, I would most likely ovulate Monday or Tuesday by that just personal calculation... Does anyone have POSITIVE advice or can shed light on their personal experience ANY experiences. Please, any advice would help
