2 hour glucose test?

I see lots of women on here saying they do a 1 hour test, but my midwife wants a 2 hour right off the bat, with blood drawn each hour. This is my second pregnancy, and I’ve never shown any signs oF GD either time, so I think the two hour test is her norm. Anyone else’s provider go to a longer test first thing?

I’ve heard of it. It makes sense- it’s a far more accurate test

It’s the only test they offer in Norway, although they only draw blood right before the drink and after two hours. 
I used it as an opportunity to take a nap, since they offer cozy lounge chairs and blankets while you wait

Is there a different range for the results?

My medical group only does the 2 the now, no 1 or 3. I go for mine Friday and it’s the same: 3 blood draws total then I can go home.

Yupp. In many places the 2hr is the usual. I did the 2hr first.
