Progesterone after MC?

Question

I just received the results for my blood tests (2 wks after the last hcg tests) after my MC on 1/26/19. 
My Dr said I could start TTC in my next cycle, and that when my period starts up I should contact his nurse to arrange taking extra progesterone.
Has anyone here had experience with this? 
I have one child already (preemie born at 32 wks fromPPROM in 3/2016) and this MC would have been my second.

Yes I take extra progesterone via vaginal suppositories every month 3 days after ovulation until period. Once I achieve pregnancy I take the progesterone through 12 weeks. My doctor told me that the extra progesterone may help support the pregnancy, but if nothing else it won’t hurt. I’m on cycle 5 of progesterone, hoping to get a bfp this cycle! Baby dust!! ✨✨

Mine said to start using it once I actually get a BFP 🤷🏻‍♀️ I MC on 2/17 and was told not to try until after my period. I also have a preemie at 34wks due to PROM in 2016. This was our 2nd cycle TTC and MC at 5wks.
