Watery discharge vs amniotic fluid

I had a long day today! Yesterday I had a membrane sweep. This morning I had a small gush of water and then some leaking so I went to the case room. They swabbed me and it came back negative but the dr wasn’t convinced it wasn’t amniotic fluid. I wore a pad for an hour and went back and got swabbed again- this time she said it was watery discharge. I wasn’t 100% convinced! It seemed like a lot of water to come out at once- it soaked my pants. Then about an hr later when I got to the hospital my undies were wet again.

Has anyone had something similar happen?

I read online it’s possible the baby’s head is blocking the amniotic fluid from steadily coming out. Is that an actual thing that happens?
