Nursing tops? Yes or no

Is anyone planning to invest in nursing tops? Seems like such a waste to me when you can just use something to cover up instead, but wondering if it's worth getting a few or at least some good nursing bras?

They’re great for easy access bc they were designed for nursing. I wore the tanks at home allllll the time and then would generally just layer a tank underneath a shirt so my stomach wasn’t hanging out if I had to lift my shirt to nurse. Just depends what you’re looking for. I had the bras (mostly for pumping once I went back to work), tanks for home and layering, and nursing friendly shirts for everything else. Just personal preference

Def. need nursing bras, i never used tops.  I liked to layer a tank under so i could lift my shirt and pull down tank, never can see anything.

With baby number one I nursed for 15 months and only had nursing bras and tank tops. I will admit though I struggled with feeling good about my self image because I was always having to think about what easy access outfits I had which was very limited. Because of this, I am investing in a few nursing tops so that I can still feel like I look nice and have easy access to nursing.

I was a big fan of nursing tanks with a regular shirt over it so I could nurse in public without my stomach/back exposed.  Button downs and zip ups are also great as you can use them to nurse but they have a life afterwards as well.  Personally i had a few nursing shirts as well, but was happy I waited til I was nursing to order a ton as you’ll likely find styles you like more or less once you’re actually doing it.  It also depends on how much you’ll need to/want to nurse or pump outside the house.

I’ve purchased some tanks and bras. The tanks were only 3.99 at Burke’s and the bras were only 7.99 on clearance at Walmart. Not a bad investment and I can layer the tanks under my normal shirts for public.

Special Shirts nah. But nursing tank tops absolutely!! They’re supportive, comfy, you can wear them under anything or on their own, and so convenient. I have them from my last baby and I’ve been wearing them this whole pregnancy and plan to live in hen again when baby comes. Mine are motherhood maternity.

I would say you definitely need a few nursing bras, I basically switched out all of my bras for nursing bras after my first, except for a “date night” bra 😂 and honestly nursing tops are extremely convenient. I prefer to cover up when nursing in public, but a lot of covers will still show your lower half, so at least for me, that’s not something I want to share with the world, lol! But nursing tops are really nice to have for easy access when in public or at home in my opinion! But I have just been keeping an eye out for them on clearance at places like Target and Kohl’s. (I nursed my first for 13 months)

i bought some nursing tank tops and like 2 nursing tops but I wear button up blouses like all the time so I figure I will just continue wearing those with a nursing tank underneath.
