GT Test

Y’all... couldn’t believe it... so I went for my test on Monday go to the lab.. checked in sat there for an hour and 10 minutes they took my blood and said I was good to go..🤷🏼‍♀️ I said umm im supposed to drink something wait an hour then have my blood drawn... the nurses response was “no you are breakfast right?” I said yes! She sent me out the door and said I didn’t need to drink it...

Fast forward to my 4 week appointment yesterday with midwife I bought it up to her and she FLIPPED! She called the lab manager and was pissed! She said “how many of my patients are waking around with inaccurate numbers and or with diabetes and I don’t know it because you and your staff don’t know how to do your jobs” the manager proceeded to try and tell her if I ate I didn’t need the glucose load... let’s just say that was the wrong thing to tell the midwife! Lol she is filing an official complaint and said I need to also!

Moral of this is please pay attention and know what has to be done properly! Everyone must get the glucose load!
