GTT repeated test.. AGAIN

Hi everyone! I’m in the U.K. so I don’t know if it’s any different to other locations!,

So a couple weeks ago I was put in for the 2 hour GTT because different people at different locations were measuring my baby to be slightly larger than expected (unknown if it was cause midwife appts and hospital appts were all over the place at different days due to bad weather so wasn’t able to attend a couple in between)

I was fine for about 50 minutes and threw up, mostly due to fasting for 12 hours

(overnight aswell) and the warm drink upsetting my stomach making my heartburn RAGE aswell as having to sit in a very hot room without being allowed to get any fresh air..),

they still took my blood and results came back as normal so I passed!

BUT they decided a week later that my results were slightly too low after the drink so decided to make me do it again.

Fast forward to today when I had to have my second GTT, again lasted 50 minutes exactly and heartburn came back causing me to get really warm, and threw up again, but this time had my blood sugars checked as a healthy 8.4 before being sick.

Now I’ve been told I need to do it AGAIN but my consultant had told me yesterday that she doesn’t understand why I’m having to do so many GTT’s when the only thing wrong with my blood is iron, which is only slightly lower than normal AND shes not concerned about the growth of the baby.

I’m debating not going through another glucose test just because it’s such a waste of time as I’m 33 weeks now and there literally is no need for it?

Anyone else refused a THIRD GTT and/or was sick during and have had to have this as the only option given? They won’t let me do any other GD tests other than the vile drink. Help :(
