So this is my first time taking Nuva Ring. It’s also my first birthcontrol my family is very open about talking about these kind of things, so I knew what to exspect. Before birth control my period was fine maybe a little painful here and there but overall as good as period can be. After taking the nuvaring within the first week I had green discharge and itching. I started taking antibiotics (unrelated to my vagina I was actually sick) but it started to cause it to curdle and smell like spoiled milk. After taking out the nuvaring for a week I had sever pain (it’s been almost 2 week now). I’m feeling sharp piercing pain. 😭😭😭 I went to my doctor and she said I had bacterial vaginosa (BV) and just gave me more antibiotics but I feel like this isn’t a normal symptom of BV. The pain is so intense. I looked at my nuvaring and realized it was expired !I don’t have an STD. If anyone had a similar experience or advice Please help.
