Scariest few days our lives!!

Heather

Monday I decided to have lunch with my sister at a local deli and then some sweet frog after. We were only out for about 2 hours with less than 30 minutes of walking when my head started aching. Luckily by that point she realized she needed a nap and was ready to drop me off at home. When I got home I had a full blown migraine with nausea so I laid down for a nap which lasted about 4 hours and didn’t help. My husband came home and suggested I check my BP at the Walmart kiosk and I finally caved. It came in at 169/94 way higher than my norm. I immediately called the on call doctor at my office who told me to head in to Labor & Delivery to be checked out.

To make a long story short it just rose higher by the time I got there to 190s/90s, so they kept me until today, Wednesday. They gave me two steroid shots to help mature baby’s lungs, and gave us worse case scenario of delivering baby at 29 weeks which terrified us! Thank God a little time in the hospital relaxing has kept my numbers under control enough to be sent home on modified bed rest.
