Anyone else confused on the months they are?

I'm 21 weeks. When I was like 19 weeks my sister told me I'm like 5 in a half months. I thought 5 months was 21 weeks? Or is it more like 6 months? 
I've seen the picture things people post on here but I'm still confused. Idk what to tell people when they ask how many months I am. Lol

Let me share my easy method with you (works for regular cycles): my last period was on October 9. Every month on the 9th, i start a new month. On November 9, I was 1 month pregnant and started my 2nd month, etc. So now I am 4 months pregnant and in my 5th month. On March 9 I will be 5 months. (There is an extra week till the due date though :) ) Like when you are 4 1/2 years old - you are in your fifth year of life, but you are only 4 years old (not 5 yet).

I think it’s super confusing too which is why I just go by the weeks, not the months. 
I’ve seen the charts but in my head I’m like...if 20 weeks is the halfway mark and pregnancy is 9 months...wouldn’t that be 4 and 1/2 months?
But the chart says 5 so I don’t get it lol 🤷🏼‍♀️🙈

I prefer to go by the actual calculation rather than the approximation of the schematics (which vary anyways). 
(Number of weeks * 7 days in a week)/30.4
30.4 is the average length of a month
Number of weeks * 7 can also be replaced with total number of days you are if you know that

Think about it this way— 40 weeks is 280 days, so if a month is ~30 days then 40 weeks is actually 9 months plus 10 days! 
Plus some calendars start counting at conception while others count from LMP. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Count by weeks and you’ll feel less crazy!
