Should I take my toddler on the hospital tour?

The only hospital tours that my husband and I can attend are during the week, and we don’t have anyone to watch our toddler. Do you think it’s ok to bring her along? I delivered at a different hospital last time and no one else brought their kids on the tour.

My hospital wouldn’t let anyone bring their kids. It’s cold and flu season, so generally small children aren’t allowed (unless you’re having the baby). Call and ask. A woman wasn’t allowed to do my hospital tour because she brought her toddler and didn’t have anyone to sit outside with her.

I was told no children under 13 allowed since its flu season and the nursery is connected to the NICU. Some parents brought their kids anyway but they weren’t allowed to look at postpartum/nursery for the sake of the babies. Call your hospital to check!

I did my hospital tour last week (at the same hospital I work at) and absolutely no one under the age of 16 was allowed on the tour. Mostly because of flu restrictions. It was limited to one support person and myself.

Ask the hospital, a lot of times they don't allow kids in the maternity wards because they aren't fully vaccinated/carry so many illnesses lol They might have a nursery/daycare there or you and you're husband can always go on different tours.

I would call the hospital. I know that currently here (MN) with it being cold and flu season and with you touring the baby and delivery rooms they are really strict with allowing anyone in. For our tour we had to register all individuals who were going and we will have to be there early for a wellness check ourselves before we are allowed to enter. (Our hospital does have a NICU and therefore they have to be really careful with their nursing staff and germs.) No one under the age of 7 can go in without a mask- after passing the wellness check- and if they don't pass the wellness check then the whole family is sent home. (Same rules for visitors after baby is born.)

I actually just called my new hospital to schedule our tour, and we have a five-year-old and a two-year-old son, and I was told that no children under the age of 7 are allowed to be on the tour???? 
Personally I thought that was kind of a strange rule, but what do you do?? 🤷🤷
So I would call the hospital and just ask their policy. If I was able to I would have definitely taken my two kids.
