Due in a few weeks with baby #2 and I’m hoping to breastfeed this time around. Only breastfed my first for about 6 weeks because he just couldn’t get a good latch and wasn’t getting enough with the shield.

I know this sounds silly but when baby is still little and you’re feeding on demand rather than on a schedule how do you know when they’re hungry? Is it every time they cry? I know what feeding cues are so every time they’re rooting and kind of smacking their tongue feed them?

Like I said I know it sounds so silly but I have so much anxiety about breastfeeding since it went so horribly with my first.
