Just a little back story I met my partner in 2015 I’ve only ever been sexually active with him and he has only had sex with one person before me which was a fling.

For about 3 years I’ve had this on and off again UTI feeling, I got UTI’s a lot in high school so I know what they feel like but this just keeps lingering and last time I went to the doctors over it which was about 2 and a half years ago he said there was no bacteria in my urine but high white blood cells which shows infection so his words “i’ll give you antibiotics anyway because there is sign of an infection” and that was the end of it. No further investigation.

Those seemed to have worked for a few weeks, then it came back. The feeling really hasn’t gone and I haven’t been back to the doctors because they shoved me off last time and tbh I’m super nervous incase they have to perform a cervical test. The feeling is uncomfortable and occasionally it will get bad to the point it’s really painful. Sex is painful, peeing is painful.

Last night I thought I’ve had enough I’m making a doctors appointment with another doctor. I googled what it could be and I’m seeing PID everywhere I look. Then it got me thinking my partner has never been tested but apparently the girl he had a fling with (they didn’t use a condom) was tested and clean or so she says. I never thought about it but maybe she lied and what if chlamydia is the cause to all this.

What if we can’t have kids, it would mean I would have had it for 3 and a half years and my partner would have had it over 5 years. I know it would be my fault I shouldn’t have put my trust in anyone else I should have made him test before we had sex.

I’m making an appointment for next week.

Has anyone had experience with PID and what were your symptoms, how did they diagnose you?

Sorry this is long. I’m not by any means self diagnosing myself I know it could be other things but this would explain so much.
