Who will be in the room with I give birth?

So this will be my parents first grandchild and my husband’s mother’s first grandchild. I don’t know about his mom if she plans on being there when the baby is born (she plans on visiting weeks/month after when she gets vacay time) but my mother wants to be in the room with I deliver. I sorta want it to be just me and my husband when I give birth..but I feel bad that my mom wants to be in there too.. she says she understand but I don’t know.. I’m not one for everyone to see me in painful conditions🤷🏻‍♀️ I know for sure I don’t want my father in the room when I deliver. That would just be awkward.

I've always had just my husband & I in the room & it's been such a wonderful bonding experience for the two of us to be together, so close as our children are born. It will be like that again for us in July for Baby #3. 
Try not to worry about hurting people's feelings as your parents have had their time to have their babies, this is your journey now, and if you want this to be between your husband and you, that is a wonderful thing, nothing to be ashamed of!!!

I plan on only having my husband with me, I love my family and in laws, but I don’t want an audience. To me, personally, it’s almost an intimate moment delivering our first child and I just want to share it with him. Our families are both extremely understanding and will arrive at the hospital when I’ve delivered, we want those first few hours bonding with our child alone. 💕

I am having my mom in the room because I know my husband will be cracking jokes the whole time.

I was allowed 3 wristbands. I gave one to my mom, husband, and best friend. I think it's awkward for my dad to be there too. My mother in law lives far away, but personally I think it's not really a mother in laws place. The birth is more about you. Your pain, your comfort. Everyone else can see the baby when you're done

I personally think birth is super intimate and I’m an introvert- so we will just be having a midwife (who is also my doula), my husband, and our toddler present during labor and birth (planning on a home birth). I had three midwives, my husband, and a doula for my first and I felt overwhelmed by how many people were there. I also don’t want anyone to see or touch baby for the first few hours - they are so precious for bonding and I want that saved for only my husband, son, and me without any pressure from anyone else.

Just my SO for me. My mom would like to be in there with us I believe but its just not for me. I'm sure his mom would too if I asked her but she hasnt mentioned anything yet lol. She probably knows me well enough that I'm private and wouldnt like that.

It's first grandbabies on both sides for us too. It'll just be me and SO though. It's what makes you comfortable. They can come see baby afterwards.

During my first born I only and my husband and I. I think that’s what I’m going to do the second time around. It made it feel very intimate and special. The family can always visit after.

My husband's Mom has said to let her know when she should come, which I think is ideal. My Mom didn't even ask and I think is expecting to be there during the birth, though that's not what I want. She is a few hours flight away and I'm secretly hoping I deliver before she gets here! I feel bad saying that but at the same time think it's okay to feel that way.
