Anybody breastfeeding while pregnant?

Question

I’m still nursing my almost 19 month old and she doesn’t seem to be letting up nursing anytime soon and I was planning on tandem nursing. I just had my first prenatal appointment talking to the nurse and she said I need to start weaning her. I’ve read that you don’t need to according to the American Pregnancy Association and I don’t want to wean her if I don’t have to. It would literally be impossible to.. Anybody in a similar position?

I am breastfeeding my 14 month old and she’s finally decided to self wean.. I think the taste changed and she doesn’t care for it.. she is down to one feeding at night and that’s it! My nipples are happy but I miss the bonding time!

I'm still feeding my 2 year old (25 months) 2 times a day and plan to let him wean when he's ready, although I'm not too sure about tandem nursing. I'm 5.5 weeks now, am curious to see if he does decide to wean as I get farther along and the milk changes.

My nurse wanted me to wean as well I have started to just as a personal prefference but I still plan on nurseing her at night untill I talk to my dr my daughter is 9months old

Not in the same position, but you definitely do not need to wean your daughter if you don’t want too. That’s weird the nurse would say that but they also aren’t lactation consultants or really trained in that area.

I'm still nursing my almost 19 month old daughter. Not super often but probably once or twice a day. I don't see us stopping any time soon. I don't see an issue in continuing to breastfeed her. This has been my longest breastfeeding journey.

Lots of people nurse through pregnancy.  If there are no issues, there’s no reason to stop.  Sounds more like her personal opinion than professional advice.

Y’all I just wanted to update! I saw my ob today and she was completely supportive of breastfeeding while pregnant, so I’m so relieved! Thanks everybody for your comments!

I am nursing my 13 month old Nd my doctor said I could keep doing so. They only ask some high risk mom's (pre eclampsia, gestational diabetes, etc.) to stop in the third trimester. He also pointed out that some babies wean naturally when your colostrum comes in because they don't like the taste. I'm glad my doctor is supportive of my breastfeeding journey. See if you can find a health professional who understands your needs and supports them.
