When to introduce bottle (in addition to breast)?

Question

All right mommies, when did you transition your little one to feed from bottle as well as boob?
I have been exclusively feeding my three week old on the boob, but I am starting to need a little more help around the house so I may need to introduce the bottle to give me a break and have hubby feed.. 
What week is usually a good time to do that???
I don’t want to lose my supply or bond :(

We did both almost right away. I knew myself in that I would get really resentful if I was the only one waking up at night.

The sooner the better that way they actually take it. The bottle doesn’t have to be used often as long as you are introducing it atleast once a day. 
I personally introduced the bottle first and then introduced breast feeding. Because my second daughter had a Rythmic issue an couldn’t use a bottle or silly so we wanted to rule out it being a issue for my son! 
My son does bottle feeding and breast feeding (on demand) and he does fine with both and we are super bonded. He is 4 weeks Saturday

I had to right away due to him being a preemie and needing to supplement. He is 3weeks old and gets one bottle a day now so hubby can help out. We haven’t had an issue with him not wanting to breastfeed.

I did not introduce a bottle until my daughter was six weeks.👌🏾 I wanted to wait longer, but my husband wanted to start helping with feedings plus we also wanted her to take the bottle whenever I left her home to go out to the nail salon, beauty shop, etc.  I still mainly fed her from the breast (unless we went out during the day), but my husband fed her bottles when he came home from work. We did not have many issues getting her to take the bottle. The main issue was that she would not take the bottle from me or from anyone else of I was in the room, which wasn't a huge issue. I have read that some women's supply drop when they began to pump, but mine never dropped!

The most important thing I think is to make sure you pump each time baby takes a bottle to make sure you’re keeping your supply up. If you’re giving pumped milk in the bottle then just keep in mind that for the first six weeks or so your supply is still being regulated by how much baby needs so if you start pumping regularly in addition to feeding, you could end up with oversupply. I pumped a couple of times in the first few weeks to relieve engorgement but then started pumping more regularly after my son was about 6 weeks old. I don’t pump every day but I try to pump every few days so I can keep up a stash in the freezer for when we need to have someone else watch him. If I was planning to have Dad take over one feeding then I would probably just plan to pump once before I went to bed for the night then that would be one feeding ready for him to use overnight and prevent you having to get up and pump again during that feeding time (unless you get too engorged from missing that feeding session). This is assuming that your pump will get the right amount your baby needs for one feeding which you’ll probably be able to figure out over time.
