Would you tell a job you just accept you are 6 weeks pregnant, will be 9 by the time you start? FYI this is my actual OB/GYN clinic as well 🤦🏻‍♀️

It is my dream job, it’s in the coding department so not nursing staff.

I applied prior to knowing I was pregnant and I feel like I have to tell them otherwise they won’t trust in me.

Any comments or suggestions are great! I’m super nervous quitting my current job too, no idea what to say as they have been amazing. This new job is an hour closer and just over all more convenient for our lives.

They don't really need to know that you're pregnant, it shouldn't have anything to do with you getting the job or not, unless you plan on not staying there after you have the baby then I think you probably shouldn't take it. but if you're planning on staying, then I'm sure they'll be more than willing to work with you when the time comes to you needing to take leave, just check out your States and company maternity leave policy. you can just let them know whenever you feel comfortable. They aren't legally allowed to ask about your family situation anyways, like if you have kids or are wanting to have kids or are currently pregnant :)

then I would just accept the job and then when you feel comfortable just let your supervisor know that you're pregnant, I'm sure they'll be able to work with you on that.

I also just accepted a new position but I wouldn’t say anything until you’re further along.

I meant to hit no! They will know soon enough, and it’s 100% separate from your work there.

You could wait until 12 weeks, but since you're working at an OB office, seems like it would be fine to tell them.
