Baby wanting pacifier vs. bottle

Sydney

My one month old is formula fed, she’s just started puking up more. I can’t tell if it’s because I’m feeding her too much. How can you tell when a baby who just wants to suck vs. a baby who is hungry?

With my son if he was hungry the pacifier would only work for a few minutes. If he started falling asleep when he got it I knew he just needed comfort, if he was still whining, squirming, or spitting it out I knew he was hungry. Babies spit up regardless of what you do so I wouldn't worry too much about that.

Okay thank you, her spit up just came out of nowhere so it just worried me a little.

If baby is hungry they’ll take the pacifier for only so long. I can tell when my son is hungry because when he takes his paci he’ll suck really hard like he’s trying to get milk and when he doesn’t get milk he’ll spit it out. If he’s not hungry he’ll take it and fall asleep
