Can I see a psychologist without parents as a minor?

Question

I’m 17 years old and I live in Canada. Can I legally visit a psychologist without my parents knowing? Or do I need parental consent? 
If I can visit without my parents knowing, would it end up on my medical record? I want a diagnosis for a mental illness I’m 99% positive I have, but I don’t want my parents to find out until I’m ready to tell them.

Edit: Since I live in Canada, psychologists are free until you’re an adult (they’re also free if you’re a student) so I don’t have to worry about my parents finding out through payments (I think)

In Canada there is no age of medical co sent. So you can see a therapist without your parents knowing about it. Which is really great! It’s not like that everywhere.

I used to go to the dr by myself ever since I was able to drive. I’m not exactly sure in Canada but I think the only thing to worry about it if you were to charge it on your insurance which I can’t imagine you have money for a psychiatrist out of pocket because it’s crazy expensive. They’ll get a bill stating what the medical reason was and they’ll know. That’s how my dad knew I was taking birth control even though I told my mom.
