What was that pain?

Last night I rolled to my side to get up off the couch. I always have sciatic pain on my right side in the love handle area, however, I immediately got a sharp pain in my left side. I felt like someone had stabbed a knife into my lower back left ribs and was twisting it. I tried to straighten up, but that made it even worse. I ended up having to lean over our ottoman until it went away. It was so bad that I couldn’t breathe, couldn’t move, couldn’t even make a sound and I felt like I was going to throw up. The pain lasted what felt like forever, but more realistically was probably like 3 or so minutes. After the pain went away, I had to immediately pee. This happened two more times last night, with one of them while walking and the other while laying in bed.

Has anyone had this kind of pain? I have a high pain tolerance, so it caught me completely off guard.
