Can your child get taken away from you if you fail a drug test from smoking weed if someone calls in on you? My nieces Mom (I don’t speak to her.) is going through this right now and I’m just worried for my niece.

I live in TN. What would be the laws for something like that? Someone supposedly called in on her, so now she has to take a drug test. I’m assuming she’s going to fail it because we know she smokes weed.

Every state is different, but I know CPS in NY doesn’t make a big deal over parents smoking pot. It’s becoming less frowned upon these days.

I know this happened to my sister back in like '94. But things have changed so much. I assume as long as its not found in the childs system she wouldn't get taken. I could definitely be wrong though.

Accidentally hit yes. I’m in tn also and know ppl that have been called on and failed their test. Cps isn’t super worried about pot so she should have a problem as long as it isn’t laying all over the house or where the baby could get into it and the babies are clean.

Depends on each state and their rules here in oregon they wont come over for pot but other drugs if they have proof they are doing it around the kids. If they have a set sober babysitter they can get high and when done high they can go get their kids
