Pill + withdrawal

I have been on the pill (Lo Loestrin) for years and I am very good at taking it properly. My new boyfriend and I have been using condoms + the pill but since we are now exclusive we would like to stop using condoms. We agreed to always pull out though.

I know most of the pregnancy prevention would be coming from the pill.

Is anybody else doubling up with withdrawal + the pill? How safe is it, failure rates, etc?
