Super Tampon in for 3 hours??

This is the second day of my period and it’s usually the heaviest day. I’ve never really soaked through a super tampon so fast (3 hours). I just recently switched brands of tampons and maybe that’s the reason? is it normal to go through a super tampon that fast?

Different brands can do that or maybe you are having a heavier than usual day.

You could go up to the ultra size not every brand makes them but it's the biggest size made. I soak through an ultra in 3 hours, every 3 hours for 7 days straight. I got tired of my heavy flow so I got on birth control and the only thing that has helped me is the mirena IUD. You could skip placebo week if you're on combo pills, or period week on the ring by keeping it in 4 instead of 3 it has enough hormones for that. Depo shot stops periods in 50% of women or the implant stops periods in 1 in 3 women.

It might be the brand, when I started a few days earlier than I expected my friend gave me a tampon from a different brand and it soaked through loads quicker than I expected.
