Is this normal of obgyn?

I found out yesterday I am pregnant and my obgyn said they don’t see people until 5-6 weeks after missed period. So for me that’s over a month from now. Is this normal? I kind of wanted a blood test to confirm too. Any guidance is appreciated.

Totally normal. Some don’t see patients until 10-12 weeks.

Very normal. There’s not much they can do until you’ll a little further along. And there’s no reason to see you earlier unless they have reason to suspect something is wrong.

Completely normal. But if you want a blood test to confirm that’s definitely something they will do for you. You’ll probably just have to go in twice for hcg levels.
