Feb baby?

I’m due to have my baby this weekend. However, I’m only 1cm dilated and my baby is measuring on the larger side (I’m petite) & I have multiple heart issues. So my doctor & I scheduled to be induced on February 28th if I don’t go into labor by then on my own. Glad it’s not leap year! scared that it will come down to being induced. Has anyone else been induced or will be?

I was induced on Feb 8th due to high blood pressure. I was only 1cm and 60% effaced, so they had insert a cervix ripening agent before they could start me on pitocin. All of my doctors told me to plan on the whole process being 20-30 hours since this was my first. The cervix ripening agent started to give me cramps which very quickly turned into contractions about 1 to 2 minutes apart. About 2 1/2 hours into having contractions I got the epidural, and my water broke on it’s own about 20 minutes after the epidural kicked in. About 30 minutes after that I was ready to push! Pushed for about 20 minutes and my boy was here! It all happened incredibly fast. They didn’t even have to put me on pitocin😅 I got incredibly lucky with how fast everything went for me. Baby came out happy and healthy, and I got to eat food again much sooner than anticipated.

Hey there! I’m petite framed, and I was induced at 39 weeks. Baby was 3.1 kg, and I delivered naturally. 
I was scared of the induction, but it was really wasn’t that bad. It definitely sped up my labour process... 
They administered 6 doses of medication every 2 hours, starting at 4 am — so I was admitted from 7 pm, the night before. 
I was 1 cm dilated with a “favorable cervix” when the doctor prescribed the induction. He wanted to induce before the baby got too big for me to be able to push him out. 
When I got my first dose at 4 am, I was 1-2 cm dilated. I couldn’t sleep, so I sat on a ball and bounced for about an hour, and started walking around the labour ward until 6 am and my next dose came. 
At 8 am I was 3 cm dilated, and contractions were starting to get a bit longer, and they weren’t painless anymore. think: period cramps.
They gave me my fourth dose at 10:30 because my contractions were starting to get more intense. They hook you up to a monitor, to measure the intensity of your contractions. That’s how they could gauge that they were stronger. 
I was walking throughout my doses, in 10 minute intervals. Climbing down the stairs in the hospital also helped. I used the elevator to get back up again, and climbed down a few flights of stairs at a time. 
After my 12 pm dose, the contractions were already starting to get longer and quite painful. I was 3-4 cm dilated. I decided to take a bath for pain management.
I have low blood pressure, so filling the tub up with warm-hot water wasn’t too smart, but this is what kick started my labour. It did help with the pain, but my contractions started getting worse also. I submerged my entire tummy into the water, laying in the tub belly first. I sat there for about 10 minutes, until the contractions were starting to become unbearable. 
I unplugged the drain and called the nurses in. They dried me off and helped me to get to the labouring bed because I was too dizzy and weak to do it myself. I couldn’t move at this point because the bath, my low BP, and the pain were all factors that were making me dizzy and faint. The nurses checked me, and I was 7 cm dilated. At this point it was around 1:20 pm. 
The pain now was really bad, so I asked the nurses for an epidural. At that point, it was too late for me, so I ended up doing this all with no pain medication. 
They broke my water once I got to 8 cm, which didn’t take too long. It was a huge gush of relief and felt amazing. Then it took a while, but I eventually reached 9.5 cm, and the nurses were helping stretch me out while checking my dilation. As she was doing this, I had the urge to push. 
Now, I thought I was pooping, so I pushed for like 5 seconds, felt relief and stopped all while nurses were telling me not to stop pushing because the baby’s head was almost out.
I pushed a few times more, and he was born by around 3:30 pm. 
I tore a little, but that’s because I couldn’t stand the pain and started pushing a bit too early. After the baby was born, about 3 minutes later they delivered the placenta. It wasn’t painful (relatively) and it needed like 1 push and 2 coughs lol. The doctor started stitching me up, but the pain meds didn’t kick in, so I felt it all. The pain was horrible when he started stitching close to my rectum, but it was quick, and they knocked me out with some fantastic drugs for about 2 hours. 
This was my birthing experience. It was easier than I thought. It was damn painful, but I promise it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. Don’t be scared of the induction, because it made mine a fast labour, and also gave me a chance to actually be able to deliver naturally. 
Also, to help with speeding along your labour, drink red raspberry leaf tea. I think that and bouncing on the ball are what helped my cervix become “favorable” in the first place.

I have been induced 
Went in on the Friday 
Started induction after 1am Saturday 
Had the baby after 12 am Sunday 
It’s not that bad honestly to me
I have a high pain tolerance so I took the pain until I was 4 almost 5 cm 
Then asked for epidural because I realized this is about to hurt alottt lol 
After epi about 11pm the contractions started n I was “feeling them” bagged was popped 
N I was 10 cm just after 12 
N I literally took maybe 10 mins to push out a 7lb 14oz baby 
I’ve heard ppl say inducing hurts more than natural 🤷🏽‍♀️it was my first time n liked the fact that I had control on when to go to the hospital
