FTM, had an episiotomy and it wasn't too bad, first few days were horrible but healed nicely x I didn't do kegels 😂 drank red raspberry leaf tea just for a weekx

It was awful. I had a second degree tear and a vacuum delivery so I was swollen to the high heavens and couldn’t sit or walk right for weeks. I’m also the kind of lucky person whose stitches take foreverrrr to dissolve, I still had a couple at my 6 week appointment and that drawn out process made me achy and itchy. Plus the pain from the hemorrhoid I got from pushing.

I never had an issue. 
What you can do is while you are in labor or even leading up to birth in the weeks before . have your partner apply safe oils to your vagina and perineum as well as putting fingers inside and gently stretch the vaginal opening and the vaginal canal. 
My first all natural birth ...one push my second all natural 3 pushes (she was big) all because of ONE activity I did a lot in my third trimester. 
Y'all might think I'm Cray Cray but IT WORKS if done properly and gently (never force your body) 
Fisting...slow gentle fisting 
Also have at least 4 orgasms a day keeps your uterus and vagina strong! And do your kegels. :) best thing I can say to help aid in a speedy recovery!

I found the key is to not over push during labor. I’ve had 3 vaginal deliverers first I tore pretty bad send I only tore bit this time I didn’t tear at all . Difference with this one I relaxed and didn’t over push

I had a 2nd degree episotomy. My recovery was ok but a blur. No immense pain and only had regular Tylenol. But  I made sure I kept up with taking the medicine. The scar of the cut is more annoying because of the pulling feeling.

Less than a first degree tear. “Road rash” as he called it. Healed up perfect.

Super fast labor (total 10 hours from 1st contraction to delivery)
But it ducked, unintentional natural labor (missed epidural window), pushed for 2 hours. 2nd degree tearing. 6.4 lbs, 18.5 inches, 3 weeks early. Internal hemorrhoids, still feels weird down there.
