Letrozole didn’t work. WhAt’S nEXT?

Question

Three rounds Clomid didn’t work.

Three rounds of Letrozole. 2.5mg for two rounds and 5mg for one round.

Doctor feels “strongly” that doing another round/upping the dosage wouldn’t work.

Appointment is scheduled do discuss next steps/options.

Do you ladies have any ideas what my next options could be?

I don’t want to have to resort to

<a href="https://glowing.com/glow-fertility-program">IVF</a>. It’s so expensive and I’ve heard emotionally draining too.

I had to do 10mg before Letrozole worked for me. Did 2 rounds of 10mg, trigger, and IUI. Our 2nd round of doing that worked and I'm currently 32+4 with our baby boy. Don't give up and don't be afraid to get a 2nd opinion! Good luck ❤

I think you should get a second opinion.  Your doc definitely shouldn’t have stopped at 5mg.  You should have gone on to 7.5 and then 10 before moving on to more expensive methods.

Iui usually.
Ivf wasn’t as draining as Getting negatives every month. I wish I did it sooner, actually.
Depending on what the issue is, would determine what the next steps are. Ours ended up being male factor, which we didn’t know the whole 18 months of trying.

My doctor almost gave up on me with letrezole but she never stopped at 5 we went to 7.5 and at 7.5 it took 3 months to hit my system. But even tho I ovulated once it really didn’t help me alone I had to use provera and metformin for the letrezole to full on work but I have pcos so idk if you have something of that sort but I would get a second opinion as well because your doc really shouldn’t of stopped at 5 . Hopefully this helps

When letrozole and clomid didnt work we had to do IVF. It was expensive but it worked and I am currently holding my baby girl in my arms as I type this. We did 7 rounds of medicated IUI, it worked once but ended in a 9 week miscarriage. 5 more rounds amd then we went to IVF. I personally didn't find it emotionally draining...get on a schedule and ask lots of questions and it is not bad. Good luck.

The following cycle I did letrozole plus gonal f  injections and i developed a good size follicle
