Any POSITIVE outcomes to baby measuring a week behind? (6 weeks - should be 7)

I went to my confirmation ultrasound. We re able to see the heart beat but the doctor said that most likely I will miscarriage because the baby is measuring a week behind. PLEASE PLEASE share if anyone has a positive outcome in a early pregnancy like mine... we are felling heart broken

I’ve measured a week behind in both a miscarriage and a successful pregnancy. If they’re not doing it, check your HCG levels two days apart, and see if the number doubles or is close to doubling. If it is, don’t worry but if it’s barely rising then it’ll be a miscarriage - I’m hoping for the best for you!

It's totally normal to measure a week behind, just means you ovulated late. It's especially good news that you saw the heartbeat. Not sure why your doctor told you that

I just this happen today! My doc says I’m measuring 2 weeks (LMP 7/5, ultrasound 5/6) behind and basically prepared me for a miscarriage to happen. I am being hopefully because I still have strong symptoms. I did a ton of research today and a lot of reports say that early ultrasounds can measure a week off either way. I wouldn’t jump to any conclusions until you actually miscarry or you see your baby is growing. It’s hard to be in limbo, I am right there with you. I am hoping the best for you.

I’m sorry your doctor said that to you. With my son, I was supposed to be 6 weeks 5 days at my first ultrasound but my sac measured 5 weeks 5 days, we couldn’t even see the baby. They guessed I either ovulated late or implanted late or a little bit of both. Had a complication free pregnancy, labor, and delivery. I’ve also seen several women on this app say they’ve measured a week behind with a positive outcome. Hugs Mama ❤️
