Placenta Previa
I just found out after my 12 week ultrasound that my placenta is close to my cervix.
Im on pelvic rest until 18-20 weeks (hopefully the placenta will move) So no sex or lifting heavy things and only light exercise.
We’ve been refraining so far anyway as this is a high risk pregnancy. I had been lifting certain things I probably shouldn’t have and have completely stopped now.
We conceived with the help of clomid and vaginal progesterone every night.
But I read that if the placenta doesn’t move, that I’m going to need a c-section. Which is perfectly fine, and isn’t the end of the world, I know.
I’m wondering if anyone else had this and what happened in your case?
Edit:
thank you ladies for the reassurance, I have no idea if it’s full or partial. (I’m just guessing partial since the dr said it would most likely move)
I haven’t had any bleeding whatsoever, which had been really reassuring for me since I’ve had a few miscarriages before this pregnancy.
My mom also had this (with me, go figure) and a couple of coworkers, and they all had vaginal births. It’s the option I’m hoping for, I think about every woman does, but I won’t be upset if a c-section is necessary. Just happy to have a healthy baby. 😊
We can’t wait to find out if it’s a boy or a girl! (3/15, soon!)
Edit 2: so it’s just partial or “close” to my cervix.
I’m finally starting to get a bump!!
