My best friend is 10 weeks behind me, I’m 24 weeks along and so she is 14 weeks.

She decided to go to one of those boutique ultrasound places to find out the gender early.

They could not find the baby’s heartbeat. He measured exactly on track, they said her placenta was in a weird position and the baby had his back to them. They kept moving around so they couldn’t actually get a good still shot of him and she couldn’t tell if he was moving around.

She has a doppler at home so she tried to check when her and her hubby got home, but couldn’t find it either.

Her ob called cause the boutique place called her. She said the baby more than likely didn’t make it, and to come in first thing Monday to be checked. She’s devastated. She has had a miscarriage before but she was much earlier along and went on to have a healthy baby afterward.

Has anyone else experienced this? A big part of me thinks the techs might just be inexperienced or rushed cause they had another appt directly behind her.

Update: she got confirmation today, her little angel didn’t make it. Thank you for all of your thoughts and prayers.
