Just a rant..
I am seeing a very rude people as my OBGYN, which I will be getting changed next week anyhow, I am 20 weeks and my daughter has a genetic/chromosome defect defect which makes her blind in her left eye &’ extra skin on the back of her neck, along with some fluid around her lungs. Well, I refused the makena shot today (“suppose” to help to keep you away from another preterm labor) my son was born 2 months early, but to me the risk out weight the benefits by a lot, so my midwife looked at me and my fiancé today and said “I just want you to know since you’re refusing the shot and if your baby comes earlier then 28 weeks we won’t even try to save her” like first off, I started crying feeling like complete Shit because I don’t feel comfortable taking the shot, and her making me feel like it be my fault if she comes early and passes.. then I had to go for an ultrasound where they found out my placenta has shrank some and I then got put on bed rest completely, at home. I don’t understand, why people can be so rude, I understand they’re doctors and have jobs but when someone is not comfortable with something saying something direct and rude and unprofessional isn’t going to change anyone’s mind.. all I’m thinking now is my baby will come early
