Am I too young for makeup???

Question

So most of my friends have/wear makeup but not like a full face everyday that just use it for fun. And I really want to get some to play with and try stuff out but my mum says I have to wait till I’m 16 (I’m 14). Sometimes I wear my mums mascara but only when I leave the house. I don’t know if I’m just being silly and I should just wait or my mum is being to protective.

I started wearing makeup when I was 13, did a FULL face everyday till I was 16. I am 18 now and never wear makeup, sometimes I put my eyebrows on but one thing I’ve learned is to be confident in my own skin. I can appreciate my natural beauty a lot more now. I’m not some beautiful instagram girl, I’m average probably but I still feel secure and happy with myself. 
BUT there’s nothing wrong with wearing makeup if you want to wear a full face everyday then do it!! If you don’t then there’s nothing wrong with that! 
I just got exhausted with tryin to do that everyday

I can see why you feel that way, my mum is making me wait until I am 15/16 even though my older sister started wearing makeup when she was 13/14. Parents have their own logic😂. I think our mums maybe just don't want us to have a low self esteem and don't want us to rely on makeup to make us feel good about ourselves.
