Sleepy babies eating

Cheyenne

Ok ladies. I am in need of some help. I had my son on 2/21 vis schedule c-section at 35 weeks. He had some low blood sugar initially and had to be supplemented to keep it up. I also have very large breasts and very flat niookes so we struggled in the beginning with latching. With the help of a small nipple shield and some supplements we got his sugar and his latch controlled. My problem now is this-he is lazy. I will latch him, and he just lets it sit in his mouth. I have tried stripping him, wiping him down, flicking his feet. He just doesn't care. It's very normal for late preemies to be sleepy and lazy, especially boys according to the nurses, but I would like to get him off formula supplements ASAP and we can't do that with a lazy feeder. How do I get him to wake to eat more?
