Have not started birthcontrol before, but im really consodering it

I have a lot of stress often that really fucks with my period(such as now, because im 5 days late, but not due topregnancy which im 100% sure of, hadnt had sex since my last period since the boy left for a while!)

ontop of that my flow is far too heavy/whack and super irregular. Im unsure if taking pills will be ideal, but also makes me feel so much more comfortable about having sex with my boyfriend...

Advice please?
